Supported Independence Team

The Supporting Independence team (SIT) provide people with the agreed support they need in their home during the agreed period of provision themselves.

SIT operates differently from traditional home care as it focuses on helping people regain the ability to do as much for themselves as possible rather than doing things for them as there is a focus on demonstrating how to achieve something and then gradually standing back to encourage people to develop these skills for themselves.
