Board training

As of the 1st April 2017 the Board no longer provides safeguarding adult training. The Care Act 2014 states that the purpose of the Board is not to provide training but quality assure the content of training delivered by other agencies and providers.

There are excellent e-learning packages on Safeguarding Adults and the Mental Capacity Act on the Scie website which you can find using the link provided

Care Act poster

We have refreshed our poster to reflect the 8 types of abuse under the Care Act 2014. The old Institutional abuse has been replaced by Organisational abuse, although the signs and symptomns remain the same. Self neglect has been added to the list of types of abuse or neglect.

Safeguarding Adult Review policy

This is the Safeguarding Adult Review policy used by the Board to ascertain if a case meets the statutory duty of the Board to carry out a review under S44 of the Care Act 2014

Serious Incident Memorandum of Understanding

This memorandum of understanding shows the interface between a serious incident in any agency in Hull and Safeguarding Adult Reviews that the Board has a duty to carry out under S44 Care Act 2014.

The document is signed and adopted across all the Board partner agencies.
