Daytime Opportunities
Day Services
There are a number of day care centres in Hull for people with additional needs and complex health needs. Day care centres aim to improve health and wellbeing, and promote activities to stimulate physical and mental health and fitness.
Day care centres offer you the opportunity to meet other people and take part in new activities. They help you maintain your independence, social inclusion and links with the community. They also allow your carer or family to have some time for themselves.
Different day centres specialise in assisting people with specific needs such as physical disability, learning disabilities, dementia or older people.
Day centres provide day support by way of personal care and activities which are usually part of a package of care after an assessment. You can go to a day care centre for a few hours or the entire day.
